BBS Behaviour Based Safety

BBS (Behaviour Based Safety): Full form of BBS is Behaviour Based Safety in lean manufacturing. BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) was pioneered  by researchers in the United-States  in the 1970. BBS is a proactive safety method. BBS is the application of behavioral research on human performance to the problems of safety. Systematic approach of BBS is to focus on identifying and reinforcing safe behaviours of employees to prevent injuries/accidents. BBS focuses on observing, reinforcing, and identifying safe behaviours of workmans to avoid accidents at workplace. In short, BBS is the application of science of behavior change to safety related problems. Thus BBS is the proactive and data-driven approach to enhance workplace safety.
